Accidental Love Trailer: The Film Formerly Known as David O. Russell’s Nailed

When we first started hearing rumours that David O. Russell’s ill-fated film Nailed might finally be getting an official release, I don’t think this is quite what we had in mind. Following up on Russell’s last three Oscar-nominated films, The Fighter, Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle, Millennium Films is finally releasing the troubled film that he shot way back in 2008, but under a painfully bland new title: Accidental Love. The movie does not have David O. Russell’s name on it, either… apparently now it was directed by someone named Stephen Greene.

Jessica Biel stars as a small-town receptionist who accidentally gets a nail embedded in her head, giving her an increased sex drive. She hooks up with an immoral congressman (Jake Gyllenhaal) who eventually joins her crusade for better health care. The script was written by Al Gore’s daughter Kristen and the cast also includes James Marsden, Tracy Morgan, Catherine Keener, James Brolin, Kirstie Alley and Paul Reubens. Accidental Love hits select theatres and VOD on Feb. 10th, just in time for Valentine’s Day! Check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.

Looks horrible… so basically like any other David O. Russell movie.

    Ffffffffffffffffffuckabees

That’s a terrible trailer, but I could see some good in there. From the production history I wonder if they needed to get pretty creative to stitch it together.

So I guess “Stephen Greene” is the new “Alan Smithee”.
