Caesar and his army of genetically evolved apes ride into stores this week as Dawn of the Planet of the Apes arrives on DVD and Blu-ray. If man vs. simian wars aren’t your thing, we also have a few other smaller films including the found footage horror flick As Above So Below, the surreal sci-fi film The Congress and the live-action anime adaptation Kite starring Samuel L. Jackson, plus the holiday sequel no one asked for, Jingle All the Way 2 starring Larry the Cable Guy. New TV releases include the first seasons of both The Strain and Broad City, while some of the catalogue titles arriving on Blu-ray include the ’70s detective flick Hickey & Boggs starring Bill Cosby and Robert Culp, Joe Dante’s Looney Tunes: Back in Action, and the 75th Anniversary Edition of Frank Capra’s Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.
