Lots of new titles were added to Netflix Instant this month… or to be more clear, lots of new old titles. In the U.S., you can prepare for the release of Dumb and Dumber To with the original Dumb & Dumber and Farrelly Brothers’ Kingpin or you can celebrate Michael Keaton’s performance in Birdman with viewings of both Batman and Batman Returns. Other noteworthy ’80s and ’90s classics include Airplane!, The Rocketeer, the original live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the original Total Recall, Stand By Me, Rain Man and David Fincher’s Seven. If you’re looking for something newer, there is also Joe Carnahan’s Stretch, John Turturro’s Fading Gigolo, and Ron Mann’s documentary Altman.

In Canada, we’re getting some second-rate substitutes for the U.S. titles including Joel Schumacher’s Batman & Robin instead of Tim Burton’s Batman films, the CG animated TMNT instead of the live-action Turtles movie, and Bruce Almighty / Evan Almighty instead of Dumb & Dumber. On the bright side, we’re also getting Minority Report, Galaxy Quest and Old School, so I guess it’s not all bad. Do you see anything worth adding to your queue?
