Weekly Poll Results: Best Slasher Franchise

pollresultsslasherfranchise

Last week’s Halloween poll turned out to be an incredibly close battle between the big three slasher franchises, but in the end, A Nightmare on Elm Street came away victorious with 24% of the votes. The fact that Wes Craven’s series had fewer installments than the others may have played in its favour, in addition to the fact that Freddy Krueger has a little more personality than both Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees. Halloween and Friday the 13th ended up in second and third place respectively, while Scream and Psycho rounded out the top 5. After that the votes dropped off dramatically as almost half of the options received a single vote or less. Do you agree with these results?

Nightmare is the best. Even the movies I don’t like are so creative.
