Although the 2012 comic book adaptation Dredd was a box office bomb, earning just $35 million worldwide on a $50 million budget, earlier this year we heard that a sequel (or more likely prequel) might still be a possibility due to strong DVD, Blu-ray and VOD sales. Fans have been busy trying to raise support and awareness with online campaigns and now this month executive producer Adi Shankar is saying thank you to those fans by launching an unofficial animated web series entitled Judge Dredd: Superfiend. Inspired by the Dark Judges story arc in the comics, it does indeed look quite dark and twisted, although it also looks pretty cheap. The seven-part web series will debut online for free with the first part arriving on Oct. 27; check out the initial teaser and full trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.
