The Avengers: Age of Ultron Trailer

ageofultrontrailer

After proving that they can turn even the most unlikely comic book characters into a blockbuster franchise with Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel will return next summer with the direct follow-up to one of the biggest movies of all time. It won’t take much to get people excited for The Avengers: Age of Ultron, but that being said, the first teaser trailer comes across as an odd mix of tones and images. They don’t waste any time introducing Ultron as the main villain (I’m assuming that is James Spader’s voice doing most of the narrating), but if they are building him up to be just a giant robot evolved from the Iron Man suit, that seems more than a little disappointing. Either way, we do get some new glimpses of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, which should get fans fired up. The Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theatres on May 1st, 2015; check out the trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.

Wait, isn’t Ultron evolved from Jarvis? Why isn’t it voiced by Jude Law?

  • Stinker

Looks cool, but looks like a hodgepodge of Marvel Stories, Marvel Images and everything else. This could be good, or if handled wrong a mess of epic proportions. Hope that the Story is at least not a total mess like the Plot in Iron Man 2, and that it is more than just a Action Scene after Action scene collection with a few lines of dialogue thrown in. The only thing sure is that it Will make a fertilizer load of Money.

The Vision is the android that Jarvis becomes. He’s also voiced by Paul Bettany, not Jude Law and will be featured in Age of Ultron. I believe Ultron is another version of AI that Tony Stark creates to help the Avengers and eventually it becomes corrupted and goes all evil on everyones ass.

I could be a bit off on my understanding of how things play out though, hopefully someone can confirm or correct my answer?

  • Kasper

Why would Jude Law be voicing Jarvis?

  • Deven Science

So it is Paul Bettany, yes, thank you. Not sure why I got that confused.

    And so the hype begins…

  • ReelJunkie

They somehow managed to make the Pinocchio song.menacing as fuck!

My only gripe is that, just like its predecessor, some of the shots here look really cheap visually. I hope all that is fixed in post.

    The Avengers…
To quote Jay: “I´m not a fucking child.”

  • Anthony

    Needs more Nine inch Nails

  • Jr

Yep, comic books are only for kids. Video games too. We all just need to grow up.

  • I find it a little weird that Iron Man needs a helmet to cover his other helmet, but otherwise I’m looking forward to this.

  • Nick Poliskey

I thought the trailer looked really good, except that Giant Iron man thing that looks like a Goomba from Mario brothers. It looks really stupid!!

  • SAM

    “action scene after action scene”?

That would me my worse nightmare. The reason every summer movies has 45 minute action pieces is because of comments like that.

  • ECONOMYpolitica

Ultron, Maaaaaan. Should be fun, but I agree. I’m sick of comic movies.

  • pineapplepuss

Age of Ultron? I don’t know, how old is Ultron or somethin’?! Tsss tsss, fucking homerun Chipperson!

  • parapa

God, this looks so awful visually. At least Guardians was colorful and had a nice aesthetic to it. This looks so cookie cutter and lame.

  • Caesar134

Yes, that’s James Spader’s voice as Ultron and, I expected Sean being dissapointed by the trailer as you guys seem to not like the really good Marvel movies like The Avengers or Captain America: The Winter Soldier yet you guys seem to like what I think is one of their weakest movies Iron Man 3.

  • Sean

But I’m the one who liked The Avengers and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

  • Caesar134

Yeah you’re right, if Avengers 2 is good I hope you like it. I expect Jay and Frank won’t and also I just saw this reply.
