Yes!

Kirk had the lamest death in T.V. history and this could be the opportunity to correct that mistake. But more than that… Shatner and Nimoy always had great chemistry together; They are the epitome of bromance.

I like Nimoy, but his Spock in the new series has been so serious and dull – he needs a foil to play off of. Shatner acts just fine in those T.V. spots, so he should be able to reprise his Kirk persona.

The idea of Kirk and Spock together again is making me giddy.

On one hand, he is a cranky, bitter old man.
On the other, he has no shame and loves to cash checks.
Think it may be better if they just let the new cast forge their own path, and delete the endless chase set-pieces. They haven’t even been able to properly bond and we are 2 movies in already.
