Although the world premiere of P.T. Anderson’s next film Inherent Vice is a little over a month away, most of us will have to wait until at least December to see it. At this point I think we’re all desperate for any little glimpse of the film, and this week Entertainment Weekly has obliged us by unveiling the first official still in their latest issue. Based on Thomas Pynchon’s 2009 novel, it has been described as an “art house stoner detective comedy” and people who have seen the movie claim that it contains a lot of broad humour, even reaching The Naked Gun and Airplane levels of ridiculousness. While this first image doesn’t necessarily support that, both Joaquin Phoenix and Josh Brolin do have some pretty killer haircuts.
