Revenge of the Green Dragons Trailer: From the Director of Infernal Affairs and Martin Scorsese

Although cinephiles still continue to debate whether Martin Scorsese’s 2006 remake The Departed is better or worse than Andrew Lau’s original 2002 Hong Kong crime thriller Infernal Affairs, I think we can all agree that the prospect of seeing the two directors team up on a new movie is very intriguing indeed. As luck would have it, Martin Scorsese is executive producing Lau’s first U.S. film, Revenge of the Green Dragons, which tells the epic true story of Asian immigrants who turned to gang life in New York City throughout the ’80s and ’90s. Co-directed by Andrew Loo and starring Justin Chon (Twilight, 21 and Over), Harry Shum, Jr. (Glee), Kevin Wu, Shuya Chang and Ray Liotta, the movie will make its world premiere at TIFF next month followed by a DirecTV debut on Sept. 11th. Revenge of the Green Dragons is also expected to hit select theatres sometime in October; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.
