The delightful promo image for Adult Swim’s new series Mike Tyson Mysteries is all it took to sell me on the concept, but now that the first trailer has arrived online, I can confirm that this looks fantastic. As you can probably tell, the show is a take off on such classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons as Scooby-Doo, Jonny Quest and The Funky Phantom, not to mention the ’80s animated series Mister T. It finds the former heavyweight boxing champion teaming up with his adopted Korean daughter Yung Hee (Rachel Ramras), the ghost of the Marquess of Queensbury (Jim Rash) and an alcoholic talking pigeon (Norm MacDonald) to solve mysteries. The best part is that Mike Tyson actually provides his own voice. Mike Tyson Mysteries premieres this fall on Adult Swim; check out the Comic-Con trailer after the jump and see what you think.
