More Comic-Con related goodies are continuing to find their way online after the fact as the first trailer for Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies has now been officially released by Warner Brothers. While it might be a bit of a stretch to call this “The Defining Chapter of the Middle-Earth Saga”, it certainly hints at an epic conclusion where men, elves and dwarves must band together to fight Sauron’s goblins and wargs. Let’s just hope this one doesn’t have the same run-on ending that plagued The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies hits theatres on December 17th; check out the trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.
