Mad Max: Fury Road Trailer

madmaxfuryroadtrailer

After seeing so many shoddy remakes, reboots, prequels and sequels that have failed to live up to expectations in recent years, here’s one that looks like it might actually deliver the goods. George Miller is finally returning to the Mad Max franchise after a 30 year later wait, and despite all of the production delays and complications, he seems to have pulled off the impossible. The first footage from the film was unveiled at Comic-Con yesterday where it was met with rave reviews and now the first official trailer has been released online as well. It looks, in a word, exhilarating. Mad Max: Fury Road hits theatres on May 15, 2015; check out the first trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.

looks kind of cool, but then again the “mastermind” made Babe : Pig in the City and Happy Feet. Good Movies, but not the Masermind kind.

    Looks pretty awesome me.

Expectations are now set unreasonably high. This looks stunning and Tom Hardy looks like a brilliant choice.

I’m almost always highly skeptic about sequels made 20+ years after the fact but if anyone can do a Mad Max film right it’s the original creator. I think “mastermind” is kind of marketing-hype type of thing but nobody can say George Miller isn’t a fantastic director. It looks over-saturated and edited with the same annoying speed-ups like most modern trailers, but the action looks spectacular.

Having never seen any of the Mad Max movies… I don’t know what this is.

  • RockJoker

Looks awesome enough to be waiting for.

  • Andrew James

You should get on that. MM 2 will give you a good indication of what this is.

  • I can’t believe how excited I am for this.

The Mad Max TRILOGY are the best post apocalyptic films ever.
The second film (THE ROAD WARRIOR) is like THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK of the trilogy. The best stunt work I’ve ever seen, cinema. The Mad Max TRILOGY is what the film, Waterworld wishes it was.

He also wrote and directed every Mad Max film that’s ever been made. He’s the perfect director for the film. Mastermind sounds good to me.

  • I don’t think some of you know what mastermind actually means, because Miller is unquestionably the mastermind of the Mad Max films.
