Mondo Announces Plans for Toys and Other Pop Culture Collectibles

After spending the last few years transitioning from pop culture t-shirts to limited edition movie posters and art prints, Mondo is now branching out again. Based in Austin, Texas, the company is an arm of the Alamo Drafthouse and has quickly established themselves as the premium source for top of the line pop culture collectibles. So at this point it seems only fitting that they should start producing action figures, statues and toys as well.
This week they have announced that their first wave of toys will be coming later this year and they will include a 16-inch figure of The Iron Giant, a couple of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vinyl figures, and a sixth-scale action figure of The Master of Suspense himself, Alfred Hitchcock. The toys will be on display at their Comic-Con booth this week and will be available to order by August or September. Are you psyched to see Mondo getting into the toy market? Check out a couple of larger images after the jump.
