It’s a box office battle between the latest Muppet movie and another new young adult sci-fi franchise this weekend as Muppets Most Wanted faces off against Divergent. It’s pretty unlikely that Divergent will come anywhere near Twilight or The Hunger Games, but it certainly seems like the safe bet here. Disney is hoping to build on the success of The Muppets, but that movie did just okay while the reviews for Muppets Most Wanted have not been quite so overwhelmingly positive. Meanwhile, in select theatres, Lars Von Trier’s Nymphomaniac Vol. 1 is finally playing on the big screen after being available via VOD for a couple of weeks, along with the dark but hilarious Cheap Thrills and the crowd pleasing documentary Jodorowsky’s Dune.
