First Images from The Flash and Constantine TV Shows

If you need yet another example of how Marvel is way ahead of DC and Warner Brothers when it comes to comic book adaptations on screen, look no further than the haphazard slate of upcoming TV shows based on DC Comics. While Marvel is busy prepping several well-planned, interconnected mini-series in partnership with Netflix, Warner Brothers has been loaning out many of their major properties willy-nilly to several different networks. Not only do the shows fail to share a universe among themselves, but they are also separate from the DC movie universe as well.

Admittedly, that may not be such a big deal for NBC’s upcoming Constantine series, but it could become problematic for The CW’s Arrow and its upcoming spin-off The Flash, which might overlap with the Gotham series in development at Fox. On the other hand, we still have no idea if or when The Flash might eventually join the Justice League on the big screen, so fans are probably happy to see him get his own show for now. Grant Gustin (Glee) will star in The Flash while Matt Ryan is on board to play John Constantine. Are you looking forward to either of these shows? Check out the first images for both after the jump.
