After all of the terrible live action movies we’ve seen based on video games over the past decade, finally a few people are starting to realize that animation is the way to go. Sony, in particular, has a stable of great characters that appeal to all ages and they are ready to give them their own animated movie franchises. Last year they announced a Ratchet & Clank animated movie was in development and now this week they have revealed the first trailer for a Sly Cooper movie as well. Directed by Kevin Munroe (TMNT) and produced by Rainmaker Entertainment (Escape from Planet Earth), Sly Cooper will hit theatres sometime in 2016. The character designs have been tweaked a bit, but it still looks pretty solid to me. Check out the first trailer after the jump and see what you think.
