After making headlines last year by raising over $2 million on Kickstarter in less than a day, the Veronica Mars feature film is about to become a reality. The first official trailer has arrived online and it finds Veronica Mars (Kristen Bell) a few years removed from high school now working as a lawyer in New York. Of course, murder mysteries still seem to follow her around and there also happens to be a high school reunion going on as well. Because… obviously.

I think this looks a little better than just a 90-minute episode of a TV show but perhaps the biggest question is whether or not the movie can still be enjoyed by someone who never watched the show. That still remains to be seen, but as someone who hasn’t seen an episode, I can say that I’m interested if not completely sold on it. It’s still unclear what kind of theatrical release Warner Brothers has in store, but Veronica Mars is scheduled to hit theatres on March 14th.
