We’ve got the first round of major holiday releases hitting theatres this weekend before the floodgates open again on Christmas Day. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is probably the biggest release as far as mainstream audiences are concerned, although both American Hustle and Saving Mr. Banks are expanding to over 2000 screens a piece in anticipation of a big turnout as well. On the other hand, the 3D family film Walking with Dinosaurs seems like it could be the first major casualty of holiday overcrowding as I haven’t heard a peep about it. In select theatres, Spike Jonze’s Her also finally makes its debut alongside Asghar Farhadi’s latest acclaimed drama The Past. What will you be watching this weekend?
