Is Paul Walker’s Brother Being Recruited to Help Finish Fast & Furious 7?

Here’s a strange little rumour that’s been picking up steam over the past few days that seems like it might have some truth to it. As we all know, Universal Pictures recently shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 in order to figure out how they can continue the franchise without Paul Walker. It seems clear that they need to find a way to kill off his character, but they need to do it tastefully while also retaining as much existing footage as possible. They haven’t ruled out starting the entire thing over again from scratch, but now a new possibility has recently surfaced. It seems that Paul Walker’s brother Cody happens to look a lot like him and he also works as a stuntman. Could they bring him in as a substitute for Paul in key scenes in order to help finish the film?

The news comes courtesy of the Daily Mail, which is not necessarily the most reliable of sources. It’s also worth noting that there is no stuntman named Cody Walker listed on IMDb or any other related union websites. There are, however, some photos of Cody out there on the internet, including photos from a recent wedding for his other brother Caleb, and he does bear a striking resemblance.

So could there be any truth to this? It’s hard to say. It certainly would be an interesting PR move by Universal, giving them a very obvious sign of approval from the Walker family. It would also give them someone that they could film from behind or at a distance without needing any CG work at all. And if they did have to use CG to add Paul Walker’s face, it would somehow seem less disrespectful. What do you think, would this be a fitting way to give Paul Walker a proper send off?

It’s not as if he’d need to be a good actor…….

Universal’s need to capitalize on Walker’s death makes me nauseous.

I could have sworn that they used him to play Pauls character in a small scene in Running Scared; for movie magic Reasons.
