Dawn of the Planet of the Apes Trailer

It’s been a big week for trailers but we’ve still got a few more major 2014 films hoping to catch your eye during this busy holiday season. Fox has just released the first teaser trailer for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, their upcoming sequel to the surprise 2011 hit Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Directed by Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Let Me In), the movie picks up ten years after a deadly virus has killed off most of the human population. The survivors attempt to make peace with Caesar and his nation of genetically evolved apes, but eventually things go awry paving the way for war. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell and Judy Greer, and it hits theatres on July 11th, 2014.     for this to work, I believe you need to have a plausible way to show how the apes can actually win the fight over the more technologically advanced humans – otherwise it will simply collapse under its own weight.. You need some Rated R scenes of Apes ripping soldiers apart. That is what I am trying to say..

    Agreed, the bridge showdown in the first had the element of surprise. What is a damn dirty ape gonna do against bullets? Flamethrowers? Nerve-gas?
