3 Days to Kill Trailer Starring Kevin Costner

Kevin Costner might be making a bit of a comeback in 2014 with significant roles in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, the football comedy Draft Day, and an action-thriller called 3 Days to Kill. The first trailer for the latter has arrived online this week, and it seems vaguely reminiscent of both Taken and The Family, which I guess shouldn’t be a surprise considering that Luc Besson co-wrote and produced it. But before you get too excited, let me point out that it is also directed by McG, who is coming off the incredibly lame This Means War.

Costner plays an aging Secret Service Agent on the verge of retirement, trying to reconnect with his estranged daughter (Hailee Steinfeld). But when he finds himself mysteriously drugged, he is forced to do one last job for a former colleague (Amber Heard) in exchange for an experimental drug to save his life. Something tells me this isn’t going to “Liam Neeson” his career, but I guess you could do worse for February entertainment. 3 Days to Kill hits theatres on Feb. 21st; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.
