As early reviews for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire are starting to roll in, the series is proving to be one of those rare blockbuster franchises that is able to wow both critics and audiences alike. Clearly it’s a difficult standard to live up to, but that hasn’t stopped every studio from trying to find another YA hit of their own. Most of them have failed (ie. The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, Beautiful Creatures, The Host), but it does look like Divergent may have what it takes to succeed. Not only is it also distributed by Lionsgate / Summit, but it also feels the most similar to The Hunger Games.

The first full trailer for the movie has arrived online and it introduces us to a dystopian world where cities are divided into factions by personality type. Unfortunately for Beatrice Prior (Shailene Woodley) she doesn’t neatly fit into one of those types, a fact that could put her life in danger. The movie is directed by Neil Burger (Limitless) and stars Kate Winslet, Miles Teller, Zoe Kravitz, Ray Stevenson, Ashley Judd, Jai Courtney and Maggie Q. Divergent hits theatres on March 21st, 2014; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.
