If you’ve already found yourself jonesin’ for more Breaking Bad, here’s a little something that might scratch that itch. Sony Pictures Television and Teleset are remaking the AMC series for Latin America under the name Metastasis with the setting transplanted to Colombia. Diego Trujillo stars as Walter Blanco, a chemistry teacher who starts cooking meth with his partner-in-crime, Jose (Roberto Urbina). It’s unclear if they plan to take the story in a new direction, but the series will air across Latin America on various networks and also in the U.S. on Univision’s UniMas. No word yet on a premiere date, but in the meantime, check out the first trailer after the jump and see what you think.

Are you sure this isn’t a Funny or Die sketch? Or a fan parody? Looks cheap and shitty.

There’s already a Canadian version. It’s called The Trailer Park Boys.

So what author shares the initials “W.B.”? I’m trying to guess what book Walter’s Federale brother-in-law Enrique is going to be reading on the shitter when he comes to the realization of who El Heisenberg really is…

Whether or not I end up being able to see it in my area, I fully expect to catch clips of it on “The Soup” every week. !Clipos Magnificos!

He kind of looks like when Cranston would obviously be wearing a hairpiece in newly shot scenes that took place earlier in the timeline. I mean, that HAS to be a rug, right?

this is all 100% real, production value will be cheaper, but the list of actors playing the parts are actually on par!
