Although Olivier Dahan’s Grace of Monaco was apparently not ready in time to premiere at any of the major festivals this year, that hasn’t stopped The Weinstein Company from rushing it to theatres in time to qualify for the Oscar race. The movie stars Nicole Kidman as former Hollywood actress and eventual Princess Consort of Monaco, Grace Kelly. It seems like precisely the sort of glitzy period drama that is guaranteed to win Oscars, but the first trailer really doesn’t have much substance to it at all. Grace of Monaco co-stars Tim Roth, Parker Posey, Paz Vega, Frank Langella and Derek Jacobi and it hits select theatres on Nov. 27th.
