After premiering at both the Telluride and Venice Film Festivals, early reactions to Jonathan Glazer’s new film Under the Skin seem to be somewhat divisive. The movie stars Scarlett Johansson as an alien seductress terrorizing the Scottish countryside, and although that vague plot description may sound like a remake of Species, Glazer’s previous films (Sexy Beast, Birth) make that highly unlikely. Now a cryptic teaser trailer for the film has arrived online, further cementing the fact that this is most definitely a film that will defy expectations. Under the Skin makes its North American debut at TIFF next week; check out the first trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.
