Comments on: Batman to Appear in Man of Steel Sequel

Can’t wait to see how this turns out. I thought Man of Steel was pretty awesome. I thought it definitely made up for the snooze fest, that was Superman Returns (these are supposed to be inspired by “Action” comics…. not sappy romance drama novels). I prefer a comic book film full of action, over a comic book film full of sap. The fact that they’re already preparing a sequel, to MoS says that Snyder did something right, compared to Singer’s “unofficial sequel SR. Snyder took the franchise out of the Donner and Lester world and made a bigger universe for this generation. Considering how much damage was done during the alien (Kryptonian) invasion in MoS, there’s so much to play with in the DC universe. I can just see Lex Luthor & Bruce Wayne working together, to help fix up Metropolis…. for a bit, till “Batman” gets wind of Luthors hidden agendas with lost kryptonian tech. Who knows….. Either way I’ll be there.

As for La Menthe a.k.a. Doug the Head….. Already knowing how much of a hater you are of all Zack Snyder films, you seem more like the ignorant one, for watching MoS. You’re like the guy that continues to eat at the same restaurant, already knowing that you dislike everything the cooks make. You haven’t really told me anything…. and the fact that you called me and others out (looking to start shit ) shows just how much of an anal retentive (not probe) you are. A lot of people loved Man of Steel and some didn’t… but either way… my boy Snyder is here to stay. I said it before and I’ll say it again…. La Menthe a.k.a. Doug the Head…. if you don’t like Zack Snyder films, then stop watching them, dumbass. Go read a book or something, other than watching and wining about film directors you can’t stand…but still continue watching anyway.

I can’t wait for all the problems of MoS to not be addressed and be even worse. I don’t get the excitement over just the inclusion of Batman, and sadly that’s all its going to take to make money.

Possibly (though unlikely) Batman will view Superman as a threat due to his wanton destruction of Metropolis or the simple fact that he is an alien. Alternatively, Lex creates a plot that tarnishes Superman for a crime, then Batman comes to stop him.

And honestly, I sense a disaster too. Not as much as the Amazing Spider-Man 2, but still definitely a case of using the wrong people for this type of material. :-/

When you say “we all”, you mean a very select few right? I certainly don’t want this.. MoS was okeyish and I don’t see this as a good idea of how to improve upon it. If anything it’ll lower the standard of Batman instead. I don’t see how it can be done right, Superman would kill Batman with one blow.. Or his laser vision, or by flying him into stuff or into space..

Why on earth would Batman work with Lex Luther though? Batman is supposed to be pretty smart and it’s pretty obvious that Superman is a good guy.. As I said earlier, I haven’t read that comic so I don’t know the story but it just seems so far fetched to me. I smell disaster..

The tenative title is “Batman vs. Superman,” so I don’t think they’ll be working together. I agree, that’s a major potential story flaw.

I haven’t. I just have a hard time seeing Zack Snyders Superman flying around at cosmic speeds and supernatural strength and Batman who is essentially a fit human being with some gadgets co-existing. I’m guessing they work together? Because the thought of Batman fighting Superman is ridiculous, even with kryptonite..

I liked also the Batman vs Predator. That would be a movie,written by a Lost Writer, which would make all the comic freak(Me incl.) wait for a movie, and not prey that it is not going to be that bad. Or it would go DTV,
