Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street Trailer

Now that the release schedule for the fall movie season is finally filling out, it starting to look pretty packed indeed. Among the many big movies coming in the middle of this year’s awards push we have Martin Scorsese’s latest film The Wolf of Wall Street, and based on this trailer, it looks like it could be great. Where Oliver Stone’s Wall Street examined ’80s excess and his follow-up Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps updated the story for the 2000s, The Wolf of Wall Street fills in the gap by focusing on the greed of the ’90s and the true story of Jordan Belfort (who also served as the inspiration for the movie Boiler Room).

Leonardo DiCaprio once again reteams with Scorsese to play Belfort, a New York stockbroker who made insane amounts of money while simultaneously partying hard with his fellow co-workers. When he is approached by the FBI to help with a securities fraud case, however, he refuses to cooperate, putting a giant target on his back. The movie co-stars Jonah Hill (going for his second Oscar nomination?), Jon Bernthal, Kyle Chandler, Jon Favreau, Ethan Suplee, Spike Jonze, Rob Reiner, Jean Dujardin and Matthew McConaughey (who is arguably the highlight of the trailer). The Wolf of Wall Street hits theatres on Nov. 15th; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.
