Weekly Poll Results: Best Michael Douglas Movie

As the press continues to debate whether or not Michael Douglas actually said that he contracted throat cancer from oral sex, it’s time to look back over the results of last week’s poll. According to Film Junk readers, the dark comedy Falling Down is the best Michael Douglas movie of all time (and surely one of Joel Schumacher’s best as well). I’m a little surprised it got so many votes, but it is definitely a fun little cult classic. David Fincher fans also lifted The Game to a close second, followed by Oliver Stone’s Wall Street. ’80s adventure flick Romancing the Stone and Steven Soderbergh’s Traffic rounded out the top 5. At the bottom of the list, it was a three-way tie between The American President, The China Syndrome and Coma. Do you agree with these results?
1. Falling Down — 20%
2. The Game — 19%
3. Wall Street — 15%
4. Romancing the Stone — 12%
5. Traffic — 9%
6. Wonder Boys — 6%
6. Basic Instinct — 6%
8. Black Rain — 5%
9. Fatal Attraction — 3%
10. War of the Roses — 2%
11. The American President — 1%
11. The China Syndrome — 1%
11. Coma — 1%
