Thank you very much! I always love the hot docs episodes and I tend to discover several docs to look forward to in the future.

  • Essie

Also, do you guys known anything about a television cut of The Expedition to the End of the World? I see that the film is online but it looks like it’s a version from BBC and is only 60 minutes. Did you guys see a longer version? Would it be worth waiting it out for that? Thanks!

  • Bryan

    I came, I saw, I came. Thanks guys…

  • Jay C.

@Essie It’s not uncommon for docs to be cut into two versions for broadcast and theatrical (especially in Europe). I would suggest holding off for the feature length version.

  • Johnny

You can see how stupid this concept of so many films is when he goes from spending 10 min on docs in the beginning to only 1 minute (might as well not talk about it) at the end.

  • csidle

Jay, it’s not exactly a Danish thing to shoot guns randomly. I figure I haven’t even seen a gun in my life, besides on cops.

The doc looks awesome though, and I am really bummed that I didn’t go see it in theatres when it came out here. Now I’m hearing praises for it from overseas, all the while having skipped it earlier in the year.

  • csidle

… For anyone who might be confused, the above comment # 6 is regarding Expedition to the End of the World.

  • Sam

@ Johnny – I’d say the main reason why the earlier ones are longer discussions is mostly because all three of the guys are at least more than one person saw the film so there was able to be a lengthy discussion about the doc.

Towards the end, it’s just one of them that saw it, so it’s understandably a brief summary and a quick thought about it. Did you listen to the podcast already?

  • Niklas

    Great podcast!

  • Kasper

Very interesting bonus episode – good thinking to keep it separated from the regular podcast, so you don’t have to rush things as much.
