Back when The Hangover hit theatres in the summer of 2009, no one was even sure if it was going to be a hit, much less spawn an entire wave of copycat films. A few years later, virtually every comedy being released is R-rated and chock full of sex, drugs and alcohol-induced hijinks. The writers of The Hangover have been so successful doing what they’re doing that they’ve even managed to talk their way into directing their very first movie.

21 and Over is the latest “one crazy night” / “teens gone wild” comedy, and this time it revolves around straight-laced college student Jeff Chang (Justin Chon) who embarks on a night of debauchery on his 21st birthday thanks to his buddies Casey and Miller. It seems to hit all the expected notes, although I will admit there is a Superbad vibe to this that makes me a little more interested than I normally would be. 21 and Over hits theatres on March 1st; check out the trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.
