First Photo of Tom Cruise in Doug Liman’s All You Need is Kill

With Oblivion coming up next year and All You Need is Kill in 2014, Tom Cruise is gearing up for a pretty serious return to sci-fi. Strangely, although Oblivion is due to hit theatres this coming April, we still haven’t really seen or heard anything about it outside of some leaked set photos. In the meantime, the first official photo from All You Need is Kill has debuted this week and it showcases Cruise as a futuristic soldier wearing some sort of mech suit outrunning an explosion. Got your attention?

Cruise plays Lt. Col. Bill Cage, a disgraced officer who is sent on a suicide machine in the human war against an alien race called Mimics. He ends up getting caught in a time loop where he is forced to relive his death, over and over again. The movie is directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Jumper) and it hits theatres on March 14th, 2014. Check out a larger version of the image after the jump and see what you think.

  • …what a tiny suit of armor

Why did they choose a frame where he’s making such a silly face?

This guy is a fucking robot. He is 50, yet he looks like he still is in his 30’s.

I’m glad he is back on the big screen. I recently rewatched Minority Report, and it will be interesting to see him in these new action sci-fi’s.

Like the Cruise, like the Liman…Hopefully it’ll live up to Tom Cruise’s list of other blockbuster movies, love him or hate him, he can pick a one.

Hopefully it’s better than another science-fiction movie starring another famous Scientologist. I think that would be pretty easy to accomplish.

    Cruisin’ for a bruisin’.
