Yep, it’s another slow news day… which means it’s the perfect time for Fox to kickstart some buzz for what will probably be their biggest movie next year, The Wolverine. Today they released the first official still from the film and Hugh Jackman is looking just as jacked as he ever has been. His hair is cropped a lot shorter than in previous films, but other than that, he definitely still looks the part.

We know that the movie will take place in feudal Japan, and we do see a hint of that in the mysterious out-of-focus background. Aside from that, however, there isn’t much else to dissect, so for now we’ll just have to settle for examining Logan’s abs. Will this movie finally make us forget X-Men Origins: Wolverine? The Wolverine is directed by James Mangold and hits theatres on July 26th, 2013; check out a larger version of the image after the jump and let us know what you think.
