Movie Poster Round-Up: Hitchcock, Robocop, Pain and Gain

Quite a few new posters have hit the web over the past week, and this time around we’ve got a large helping of horror flicks, some awards contenders and a couple of 2013 flicks too. Today Fox Searchlight issued the very first poster for Sacha Gervasi’s Hitchcock, along with a theatrical release date of November 23rd (and yes, that is Anthony Hopkins as Hitch). Other new one-sheets include the first poster for Michael Bay’s bodybuilder heist comedy Pain & Gain, a teaser poster for Robocop, and a pair of posters for Ben Affleck’s Argo.

Disney recently debuted a series of posters for Wreck-It Ralph flaunting the various licensed video game characters involved, while the folks behind the anthology horror film V/H/S commissioned a number of promotional pieces by well-known comic book artists. Mondo also put out a couple of cool exclusive posters for Looper and Dredd and if that’s not enough we’ve also got yet another Skyfall poster to ogle. Which posters are your favourites? Check out the full gallery after the jump and let us know what you think.

2 great posters: Room 237 and Jurassic Park

  • kyri

that robocop poster looks like a shit made for tv.

  • MARK_II

….Yeah, on the G.I. Joe channel.

  • There’s a swastika in the Room 237 poster. Weird for a movie about obsessively reading into things.

  • Interesting. That actually kind of makes sense if you’ve seen the movie.

  • anton

    jurassic park is the best:)

  • T. Heilman

Once the swastika was mentioned in the Room 237 poster I noticed the nazi eagle behind it.

I’m dying to see Argo, but both of those one-sheets are uninspiring.

Like Hitchcock, Late Quartet, and Skyfall the best. The Looper poster’s pretty rad, too!

Heh. The Citadel poster is almost exactly like my RAID poster, which is funny because I designed the first Citadel poster but was very conscious the similar elements of those two films, towering apartment buildings.
