There’s plenty to choose from this week if you’re planning on visiting your local DVD or Blu-ray shop, including one of the biggest movies of the year, a nice selection of indie gems and some old classics as well. The Hunger Games is easily the biggest title that will be hitting store shelves this week, although it doesn’t actually get released until Friday. In the meantime, you might want to give the heavily hyped Indonesian action flick The Raid: Redemption a look, along with Ben Wheatley’s intense and disturbing Kill List, Australian crime drama The Snowtown Murders, the Cuban zombie flick Juan of the Dead and the final (?) West Memphis Three documentary Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory. We also have new seasons of Community and Dexter out this week, and on Blu-ray, don’t pass up the high-def debuts of Jaws and The Royal Tenenbaums. Will you be buying or renting anything this week?
