It’s the (3 hour) moment we have all been waiting for.

  • Hells yes. Sean, Andrew, and Frank’s liver discuss E3! This is going to kick ass! :)

  • Henrik

It’s fine to complain about server crashing being amateurish, but complaining that the map resets???? What are you doing Frank, the resetting maps with random properties is one of the core elements of the game.

I’m crushing D3, doing treasure goblin runs atm. 60 Monk, 53 Wizard I will eat your nerd blood.

  • dirrrtyfrank

Henrik, let me be a little more specific.

What happened to me was, I was playing through the story single player. I found the portal I was supposed to go through to proceed with the story. But I chose to explore first and find everything on the current map. I get disconnected and I didn’t memorize where I was supposed to go next then I have to find it all over again.

I understand and appreciate the random element when replaying chapters or joining multiplayer games. But in the progress of the story it’s annoying that it’s reset. I admit I am not a Diablo hardcore. I had paused the game to go take a shit or whatever, get disconnected while dropping some dumpage, then I have to rediscover a whole area. NOT COOL.

Still love the game … just a quibble .. potentially exaggerated for entertainment value ;)

  • While listening to you guys talk about Beyond (the Ellen Page game), I’m honestly not sure if any of you are aware that there is a good 20 min. gameplay video floating around out there. It looks like it plays almost exactly like Heavy Rain, except for two things. More freedom of movement and controlling the ‘ghost’ she talks to in the trailer which looks great and includes floating around and affecting items as well as possessing other people.

Anyway, check it out if you haven’t seen it already. Looks pretty cool. Definitely got me excited for it.

  • HuckCity

That link to Beyond gameplay footage didn’t work for me, but this one did.

Looks like an improved heavy rain. Definitely interested.

  • Ah damn, sorry about that. Took the link from a Kotaku article. Not sure why it’d be private. Oh well, yeah that link works and is the demo I was referring to. Good deal.

  • Wintle

Signs that you are not a Diablo hardcore.

#1: “I had paused the game to go take a shit…”

    What were you thinking?

  • Wesley

Just wanted to give a shoutout to Andrew for his Choops 2k8 mention. Honestly, the best sports game ever made, still playing it as well. I only play a few games a year but I’d be willing to shell out a pretty penny for Choops 2k13.

  • La Menthe

I’m sorry but you can’t be taken seriously as gamers, when you never have played a game like BF3, the biggest war-shooter to date (is it because your PC can’t take it?), and part of one of the most central game-series the last ten years, or other games like Half-Life or Counter-Strike. You instead play teenage garbage like CoD regularly, which now is in its fifth game with same graphics, same gameplay, same everything (it’s basically a new mod every year).

  • anonymiss

woot woot, i love you frank!!!!!!

  • Kasper

With each podcast I just love Frank more and more. He’s just got so much charisma!

  • Rick V

I see how it is, not able to take the original comment about Super Mario World in my email Sean skips over it all to the questions :P

  • HuckCity

@La Menthe – I think we probably didn’t make ourselves clear when we were talking about BF3/COD. Personally, my PC probably can’t handle BF3, but the main reason I haven’t played it is I just am not that big into shooters (I don’t think the other guys are either). I haven’t played a COD game since Modern Warefare 1 and I’ve probably only played COD online for about 10 minutes total across all games. I just don’t have the time to put into it to be competitive. We did talk about COD in this episode really only because it was featured in the Microsoft press conference.

That being said, BF3 does look amazing and it’s definitely on my list of games I would like to play eventually….I just have to find the time

Thanks for the shout out Frank!
