Love the book and enjoyed the Redford version and I do love BOZ’s work but his style looks to overblown for the material. Though I am curious to see it. But casting seems a bit off with Toby and Mulligan…they don’t seem right for this movie and I like both actors…especially Mulligan…sigh

I despise Luhrman, but I’m in love with Carey Mulligan, so a bit torn on this one. I’ll probably end up seeing it at some point just for Mulligan.

Beautiful images for sure, but completely soulless and dis-interesting. Also, the contemporary music took me right out of the time period as well. This seems like a new gimmick marketing departments are using these days and it’s not working!
