I still don’t understand why the life of a celebrity should affect the way people feel about their work. I do think that Jay is spot on about the subject.

  • Falsk

Oh man–Don Bluth movies… I keep telling myself I need to revisit all of them, but they scared the shit out of me as a kid. Even just hearing the synopsis of “Nimh” had me all jittery…

Also, relieved I didn’t end up seeing “Dictator”. I usually try and see whatever you guys are gonna review the weekend of, but I just couldn’t will myself to shell out the bucks. Glad I opted to stay in with Season 1 of Community instead.

  • You guys should review MIB3 next week. Battleship had little to no plot and pretty bad acting so it would probably make for a shitty review.

  • Cringe,

They are, listen to entire episode.

  • I love listening to Trump describe anything — “We’re standing here at FAO Schwartz. I used to come here with my dad. (awkward pause) Great store.”

  • Kasper

Haha, Frank is spot on about Sean and fatherhood. Have had the same thought myself.

All in all a super episode, guys!

  • Aaron

Frank didn’t get a chance to rewatch Dark Shadows? I was hoping to hear some “choice cuts” this week.

I was also debating whether to see The Dictator over the weekend and I’m glad I opted out.

  • Markus Krenn

I think Cohen peaked at Talledega Nights. He only can do the Mike Myers routine. Slipping into semi weird characters he created. At least Myers is funny, Cohen is not.

  • Kent

Regarding Christian Bale… he was arrested for VERBALLY assaulting his mother after she insulted his wife. Most of the media left out the verbally part since it makes for the better story.

  • rjdelight

You can get arrested for verbally assaulting someone?

  • Speaking of past John Connors, did anyone get the feeling while watching “Green Hornet” that maybe, just maybe, Eddie Furlong didn’t realize he was in a movie? It looked like it was just a day in the life for him.

  • Nuno

When top comedic actors are put out to pasture, they tend to take on Oscarbation dramatic roles and think they immediately deserve an award. Sacha Baron Cohen’s career seems to be headed in that direction.

  • KeithTalent

Too bad about The Dictator. I really like Cohen and was looking forward to this one. Guess I’ll wait for video. I completely agree with Frank, comedy should not be concerned with being politically correct and I think all bets are off as long as it’s funny.

Thanks for the Toronto recs. Hopefully I can get in to one of those theatres and I’m definitely going to hit Suspect and Bay Street Video and get a giant slice of pizza.

Quality show gents. Loved the Celebrity Apprentice discussion.

  • Dom

It’s natural to be offended by someone’s racist or illegal behavior, whether they’re a celebrity or not. I think Jay said it was self-congratulatory, and I respectfully disagree.

  • Markus Krenn

So after listening to the episode….
I guess it fell short on time again because you were recording the terminator bonus ep, right?
I’m a little disapointed on the 30 seconds spent on Being John Malkovich, that movie deserved more coverage and a few more opinions from the whole crew.

Looking forward to next week, because for the second time in history with MIB3 i’ll be able to see a movie before its covered on the podcast.

Oh and Creg.. what about the Rock playing Lobo?

  • Greg

@Markus: ‘I guess it fell short on time again because you were recording the terminator bonus ep, right?’

I’ve been catching up on the past few weeks, so I’m not sure how behind my comments will be. You mentioned Celebrity Apprentice a few times. I wanted to share that I found the Australian version (season 2) on You Tube and it was better than any of the US versions I’ve seen. Even though the only celebrity I’d ever heard of was Hasselhoff. Also watched their first season of Amazing Race Australia (2011). The teams were well cast. A lot of fun to watch.
