It’s been stated that the reason superheroes often take their masks off in movies is so the actors can emote and show actual expressions. Most actors feel limited with masks or obtrusive makeup, or even just having their eyes obscured.

Plus, if the actor doesn’t show his face, there’s not much point in even having them put on the costume. They could just have a stuntman do the whole thing and have the actor do the voice-over.

So it might not seem “realistic” or true to the original character, but it makes sense from a movie-making standpoint.

You are getting sick of what specifically? It’s not like anyone is forcing you to watch these. I deliberately avoid any Dark Knight Rises and Prometheus trailers, because I don’t want to see any part of those movies before I actually go to see them in theater. It’s not that hard to do really and I think you get more from watching a movie that way (did that already with M:I 4 last year and couple more movies along the way). I just find it funny that people complain about stuff they can easily avoid. Don’t watch = problem solved.

@Steve I was thinking that, but is that not what all the summer blockbusters are doing now like I think dark knight is doing the same. I’m not saying I like it I am kinda getting sick of it too, because it shows parts of the film I don’t want to see yet but with this trailer it shows parts of the film I never want to see.

It’s weird that studios don’t seem to have enough confidence in their movies to promote them without these extended trailers. Am I the only one getting sick of this?

Im really sick of superheroes taking off their masks in the movie. I much rather like to see them fight in their full costume rather than always having the mask come off every fight. The spiderman movies are the worst examples of this

It looks interesting but the final transformation stage of the lizard looks really uninspired…

like your any other typical cgi monster..
