Prometheus International Trailer

I promised myself that I wasn’t going to watch any more trailers for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus before the movie actually hit theatres, but… what the hell. One more can’t hurt, can it? This week an international trailer for the film has hit the web and it’s quite possibly the best one yet. It gives us a brief overview of the plot, the characters and the slick production design before ramping up the intensity and terror to 11 and leaving us breathless. There is also another viral video that they’ve recently released that introduces Michael Fassbender’s character, an android named David. All the pieces are now in place and it looks like this movie is going to be something pretty special. Prometheus hits theatres on June 8th; check out the videos after the jump and see what you think.

  • Hmmmmmm, is Ridley Scott bringing us an “Alien” prequel? Or is it really just a sci-fi remake of his own “1492: Conquest of Paradise”? Discuss.

I watched this trailer the other day and added it to my “Prometheus” collection. Everything I see about this movie just makes me more excited to see it. I even watched a couple of interviews that Ridley did for the movie.

It’s very exciting to see what can be done with the special effects and the technology, in the hands of a director like Ridley, and it makes me wish that he could do an X-Men movie or something.

Can’t really recall a time when I’ve been excited about the possibility of going to see a film and having the crap scared out of me, but this is that time.

This is also a time when I can probably guarantee that whoever I bring with me to see the film will almost definitely enjoy it and have their mind blown.

    Oh, the possibilities…. :)

  • I’m looking forward to this so much that I’m not even gonna watch this.

  • I have to say this is the film I am most interested in seeing this year. There are plenty I’m excited about, but there’s something potentially great here! Hopefully it’s not just a case of “awesome trailers”.

I love the way in all these trailers the sound and score just gets more and more cranked up as it goes along. Very good…

I love the callbacks to the original score in this one.
