I don't always agree with the Film/Game Junk crew either.

Sometimes i think Frank is smokin some shiz, but other times i feel he's spot on, and yet even other times i've felt they've shown me a side of something i hadn't really looked at in that light before.

It really is subjective, and even if we always don't see eye to eye on things, it just means were human man.
I remember loving James Buster Douglas Boxing on the Genesis, it was a terrible game, but for some reason it spoke to my inner child who wanted to punch the crap out of stuff, lol.
Sometimes Vidja Games speak to us in different ways, even if they are less than stellar.

Love the podcast guys.
Keep being yourselves, and keep up the good work, thanks for another episode.

Peace.

Love the changes! Anything that brings more Gamejunk to my ears is ok by me!

So, yeah, I am not very surprised at the opinions on the whole ME3 ending debacle. I kind of figured that would be how most rational people would feel. It almost seems like some kind of meme lately for people to hate something like this to the point of demanding action. And I'm sure the 'evil EA' connection is at least partly responsible for raising this to a new level of nerd-rage.

I am curious if your opinions will change once you guys have actually seen what they did for the ending.

Without going into spoilers there are essentially 3 endings which are the same video with a different color effect on each. There's supposedly very small differences with each of these main 3 endings based on a readiness percentage, but the choice at the end determines the ending and nothing done before that really matters in terms of the story.

Now, I'm not one of the people who demanded changes be made, but I will say it IS a weak ending. I thought it was OK myself (if weak), but I can see how some might be disappointed by it. I was okay with it mainly because the rest of the game really impressed me in terms of evoking an emotional response. It was really enjoyable to have an experience on that level with characters you had been building throughout the 3 games.

Anyhow, glad you guys discussed this! Hope to hear a followup once you all finally see the end.

@Frank: Oh sorry, as the podcast is long I heard it in bits and pieces over the course of a day, and was at the computer when Andrew at a point mentioned, that it was rejected by publishers. At that time I had apparently completely forgotten you had said that first!

Also, Frank, what a tease! You can't say something is not part of your all-time favorite trilogies, and then never mention which actually are your all-time favorites! I demand this subject return as a top five or something like that on next months show :-)
