Giveaway: Win Passes to See The Raid: Redemption Tomorrow Night in Toronto!

Hey guys, sorry for the late notice on this, but we just recently stumbled across a few free passes for an advance screening of a little movie called The Raid: Redemption and we thought you might be interested! In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past few months, this is the Indonesian action movie that won the Midnight Madness Award at the Toronto International Film Festival last year and has been generating insane buzz everywhere else that it has played since. The screening is happening tomorrow night (Thursday, March 22nd) in downtown Toronto, and the movie opens in select cities (including Toronto) the following day.

If you’re interested in attending the screening, all you have to do is send your name and e-mail address to with “The Raid Contest” in the subject line. We’ll randomly pick the winners from all the entries and contact them by tomorrow morning at the latest.

Good luck to all, and don’t forget to tell your friends! Thanks to Alliance Films and our good buddy Wintle for hooking us up with the passes.

Just saw it yesterday. This is one hell of a badass action movie.

I really, really hope Jay would watch this because this is an incredible jump in pacing, quality and direction compared to The Raid’s director’s sophomore effort Merantau Warrior. This is Die Hard meets Assault on Precinct 13 meets Bruce Lee’s Game of Death.

Even if the martial arts stuff don’t wow you in, the assured direction and the handling of the build-up in the suspense and the intensity is remarkable. This film will exhilarate you, so take a deep breath before it begins because you won’t get a second chance till it ends.
