However, he was so against his works being adapted without his involvement that he only let a few of his works be animated in his lifetime. After his death, his widow has sold and licensed his books left and right to movie companies, PBS, and toy makers. I can see a factory churning out little Lorax dolls now and spewing smoke out of its chimneys.
