2011 Film Junk Readers Choice Award Winners

Alright, folks… the votes have been cast and the results have been tallied. It’s time to find out what you guys thought were the best movies of 2011! We nominated five movies in a number of different categories (while attempting to keep each category relatively balanced) and then we turned it over to you. We ended up with a few tight battles (ie. bridesmaids suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked!!!

  • disagreed with most people but they got moneyball correct for best drama so i’m good. wish moneyball got more votes in the best overall picture category though. crazy stupid love was a lot better than bridesmaids though.

  • Goon

By the looks of the final poll I have issues with 51% of voters on one or two movies :P

  • My agreement percentage is 42%.

  • Falsk

Wha– you guys really liked the Conan doc, huh?

  • dirrrtyfrank

    You said Project Nim won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Henrik

Drive best picture… Fucking Winding Refn being celebrated up the ass this year, amazing…

  • I miscounted when we announced Best Doc on the podcast. For some reason it doesn’t tally votes for movies with apostrophes in the title, so I had to subtract the difference.

  • Mike H

I dont know how The Tree Of Life got second, do you have to be high or hammered to watch that shit.

  • Andrew

High and Hammered, and when you are it is amazing. Pop some acid, tip back a 40 and chug some red bull and do a nice double feature, Tree of Life and Winnie The Pooh.

  • anton

best action movie – mission impossible? no?

  • patrik

How was Senna not up for the Documentary Award? Easily the best and I would have voted for it if I could have.

  • M:I4 was a December release and this poll was posted weeks before it had been released. This is why we did the Most Anticipated December Release category.

As for Senna, it was only got a limited release and hasn’t been released on DVD here in North America yet.

Good to see Drive getting best film!
