    How the hell can Frank not like Animal House? That is very surprising. I would have pegged him for a huge fan of that movie. The movie is a true comedy classic.

    Yet he likes Nothing But Trouble. Go figure!

    another amazing episode! first 5 minutes were epic! was kinda hoping to hear jay’s retail story… maybe next week… btw frank you should definetly watch demolition man, good movie, could be great if it would have a proper director.

    I’m totally on board with Frank regarding Animal House. I think it’s just a “classic” because of the time it came out. I’m not a fan of Belushi either. The comedy classics from that era are The Jerk, and of course the best comedy every made: Young Frankenstein.

  • Jay, I adore the Over The Top soundtrack as much as you do, but man, did you butcher Menahem Golan’s name on-air! I’m not sure if it was d?ne deliberately for a laugh (I admit it was funny), and if so just ignore, but since Mr. Golan is my compatriot, I feel a kind of duty to help correct the matter. So it’s basically just those syllables: Me-nah-hem. The “h” in Hebrew is originally pronounced gutturally (a sound that does not exist in English), so it’s pronounced like an “h”, as in Hanna. It’s either that or something like “Menachem”…

    I know. It’s crazy how he succeeded in Hollywood with that name…

    If you want a head-scratcher of a John Belushi role try “Continental Divide”, one of his final projects. The failure of this fish-out-of-water romantic comedy might be the thing that pushed him over the edge. (on Netflix-USA Instant Watch).

  • Has anyone ever seen the SNL skit where Sylvester Stallone, as himself, is trying to help Norm McDonald out of a wrecked car? The whole time, Stallone is trying to get him out the car, and a half-dead Norm just keeps bagging on his movies. I remember there being a bit where he talks about how, yeah, Kramer vs. Kramer was a great divorce drama, bu there just wasn’t enough arm wrestling for his liking.

    I swear this thing exists, but I can’t find it on YouTube…

    I’m with you Frank. I just don’t get Animal House. The people who like it most, in my experience, are frat boys from college and my girlfriend’s dad. Also Demolition Man is awesome. Rat-burgers, virtual sex with Sandra Bullock, and … shells. This movie has it all.
