I have a warm place in my nostalgic heart for this show, and Bryan Singer is just going to throw a wrench into the gears of decent television. This show was a sitcom, plain and simple. Sitcoms just really don’t transfer into this new, single-camera mockumentary style that has become popular. Also, you can’t really make this like True Blood or The Walking Dead; you just can’t. This show details the awkward relationships between this family of “Others” and their suburban-life counterparts, and Modern Family kind of already does that. Even if they make it similar to the British version of Being Human (not SyFy’s ripoff), I’m not even sure the melodramatic angle would work. Singer, stay away!
