Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace 3D Trailer

The first theatrical trailer for the 3D re-release of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace hit theatres with The Three Musketeers over the weekend, and since no one saw The Three Musketeers, I’m guessing no one has seen this trailer yet either. I’m sure it’s a lot more interesting in 3D, but I do think this video does a good job of selling The Phantom Menace based primarily on clips of the original trilogy. It also wisely avoids broaching the topics of Jar-Jar Binks… smart move Lucasfilm!

Either way, I’m curious to see how successful these re-releases are, especially considering that they just put out the movies on Blu-ray as well. I don’t know about you, but I’ve already had enough of the Star Wars prequels to last me at least another 10 years. Will you be revisiting these movies in 3D? Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace 3D hits theatres on February 10, 2012; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.

3D wont make this movie suck balls any less

  • swarez

Yeah no thanks. 3D Jar Jar would just make me want to punch the person in front of me.

  • Primal

Come on, they should come out with an actual 3D trailer of this to give us a taste. Gotta make use of my nvidia nvision 3d glasses.

  • Scab

The most definitive of the definitive versions, I’m sure.

  • rob

    No, No!, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • Hugo Van Nor

Who gives a rat’s ass! Hopefully, people will think for themselves and not spend money going. It’s the only way the studios and Lucas will learn.

hope this does less than ten mill during its complete run

Lucas, being the fucking smart cockcsucker he is, has made it known that unless the first ones make success, we won’t release the last three. Meaning im locked in a dilemma. And i have always wanted to the see movies in cinema. But being that this is the versions that is an upgraded version of the version that was already an upgraded version of the fucking original (FUCK YOU LUCAS), and not knowing whether he will give us the opportunity to see it without 3D (being the fucktard he is by only allowing us the ”new” and not the original, like his new releases), i’m very questionable to do anything.

In any case: Lucas can go fuck himself.

I’ve seen the “originals” at the theater back in the late 70’s early 80’s and loved them for many years.

Now I just don’t care anymore. I care so little that I won’t even get upset by Lucas’ news anymore.
