With Halloween quickly approaching, we finally have another horror movie in wide release to challenge Real Steel for the box office belt. Paranormal Activity 3 is poised to build on the popularity of the previous two films and rake in some serious cash — especially considering that its biggest competition in terms of new releases is Paul W.S. Anderson’s The Three Musketeers and Johnny English Reborn. Yes, that’s right, someone actually made a Johnny English sequel. Also in wide release we have sports drama The Mighty Macs starring Carla Gugino, and in most major cities we also have financial thriller Margin Call starring Kevin Spacey and the recently outed Star Trek star Zachary Quinto. In select theatres, look for the acclaimed cult-themed drama Martha Marcy May Marlene and a handful of documentaries including Being Elmo, Revenge of the Electric Car and Elevate.
