We’ve got quite a few new releases hitting and DVD and Blu-ray this week and Captain Jack Sparrow leads the way with a zillion different version of his latest adventure Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Other major titles include the R-rated (or optionally unrated) comedy Bad Teacher starring Cameron Diaz, the animated direct-to-DVD feature Batman: Year One, and Kevin Smith’s Red State, which is accompanied by more Askew-niverse fanboy merch like Kevin Smith: Too Fat for 40 and Smodimations: Vol. 1. There are plenty of interesting documentaries this week as well such as Michael Rapaport’s A Tribe Called Quest documentary Beats, Rhymes & Life, William Shatner’s The Captains, Page One: Inside the New York Times and the Danish war doc Armadillo.
