George Clooney is back this weekend with his fourth film as a director, The Ides of March, starring Clooney himself along with Ryan Gosling (his second major film in the past month). While it seems to be getting strong reviews, it has to face off against Hugh Jackman and Real Steel, a movie about, yes, robot boxing. I think we all know who the underdog is for this bout. In select theatres, look for Tom Six’s sequel to his notorious The Human Centipede, along with Mateo Gil’s western Blackthorn, 1911 starring Jackie Chan and Dirty Girl starring Juno Temple.
