Do you like to see movies on the biggest screen possible? Did you miss out on some of the most popular blockbusters from the last couple of summers? If so, you might be interested in AMC’s IMAX Big Movie Week, a cool one week promotion where they are bringing Fast Five, Inception and Star Trek back to IMAX theatres for a special reduced price. Starting today (Sept. 30th) until next Thursday (Oct. 6th), these movies will be playing for just $7.00, which is a pretty sweet deal. But are these movies are actually worth seeing in IMAX?

As far as I know, none of these movies were actually shot specifically for IMAX, although I have heard good things about seeing them in the bigger format. I’ve actually only seen one movie in IMAX over the past few years, and that is The Dark Knight. I will definitely admit that it adding something to the experience, but after the whole small screen IMAX debacle from a couple of years ago, I’ve been somewhat wary of paying the extra money when I’m not sure what I’m going to get.
